I am recently widowed (3/2010) handicapped and have applied for disability over a year ago (10/2009). I had a SSDI hearing scheduled for Feb 9, 2012 - it has been postponed. I had plans on moving to Oregon, where family could give me safe haven until either SSDI payments began, or I could find a job. Now I don't know what to do. If I move to Oregon my Disability hearing will have to be transferred to Oregon from Texas, and if I stay in Texas I have nothing to support me, and will be among the homeless at the end of February.
I have had a bad pap smear and MRI of a cyst on my cervix emitting squamous cells - the last biopsy was benign, but I must continue to watch frequently to ensure the cells don't spread or become malignant.
I'm at odds with myself on going to Oregon or staying here and waiting out the SSDI hearing - homeless or not - any suggestions?
